The ocean plays a critical role in global climate regulation, resource distribution, and economic activities. With the increasing impact of climate change and human activities on marine environments, the need for accurate and reliable ocean forecasting has become more pressing than ever.

Ocean Forecast Systems (OFS) are essential for predicting oceanographic conditions and vital for maritime safety, disaster prevention, and sustainable resource management. How to interpreter the OFS products is not only an issue for researching but also important for improving the marine service.

To enhance young scientists to understand the basic knowledge of the ocean forecast system, and grasp how to interpret the products generated by the forecast system, the 14th UNESCO/IOC-RTRC-ODC Training Course on Application of Ocean Forecast System is scheduled for 1-12 September 2025 and now open for application. For anyone who is interested in joining the training, please kindly submit your information via the online application system (https://odc.fio.com.cn/Register/) before 10 June 2025.

More detailed information about the training will continue to be updated on our website in due course. Thank you for your interest.
