Dr. Agus Santos and Dr. Wanqing Chi gave lectures during the 15th ODC training courses

On 7 September, the 15th UNESCO/IOC-ODC Training Course on Ocean Dynamics and Ocean Models combined frontier discussion, technical training, and trainee reporting. The programme addressed projections of tropical climate variability in the 21st century and the use of an automatic simulation system for the marine environment.

Prof. Agus Santoso delivered the frontier lecture on “21st Century Projection of Tropical Climate Variability.”
Senior Engineer Wanqing Chi then led training and practice on the “Automatic Simulation System for Marine Environment,” helping trainees connect climate research questions with practical simulation workflows.
 


 
The day concluded with reports from Groups 2 and 3. Through presentations and discussion, trainees shared their research interests and explored how modelling tools can support future marine studies and cooperation.
