On the 10 September 2025, Prof. Stefano Aliani , from the Institute of Marine Science of the National Research Council of Italy, gave a lecture on the transport of plastic pollution in the ocean and its assessment. Prof. Stefano Aliani demonstrated the coupling relationship between microplastic distribution and ocean dynamic processes, and discussed the hot topics and challenging issues in current international research.

In the afternoon, Prof. Justin Ahanhanzo, gave a lecture on the End to End Operational Oceanograhic Systems for Societal Services. Prof. Justin Ahanhanzo illustrated the critical role of ocean forecasting across various fields by drawing on practical cases from multiple global operational oceanographic systems, and emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and open data sharing in enhancing the effectiveness of marine services.
